Hello all,

I am Walter from the netherlands.
In 2002 I got my first Suzuki Swift.
It was a red 1989 GTi.
Wich I sold together with my Suzuki Katana rasing funds to visit Australia.
It was a nice trip went to Formula1, WSB, V8 supercars, Eyers Rock and saw a lot off other for me cool stuff.
After owning a lot of different cars.
I tought with wich car did I had the most fun?
So in 2009 I bought a red 1991 GTi.
Wich was a big dissapointment.
The body did not servived the harsh dutch winters.
Then i found a black 1990 GTi.
Wich was just as bad
I liked the car to much so repaired the body.
And got a little lost somewhere.

Currently I own all three model GTi's :D
The Black 1995 was as bad as all the others.
Never the less i got my hands on a red 1988 GTi.
Wich i am currently rebuilding.

Anyway wish I found this forum back in 2003.
There is a lot to read.

Ave Walter

Hi. My name is Tony if you hadnt worked it out. Im looking for info and ideas when it comes to building a swift gti into a gravel rally car. Sofar i have driven a mk1 gti, and am waiting to drive a mk3 before i make my desicision. To be honest i never really knew of these cars until i begun comparing cars and came across the swift gti. Originally i was going to get a gc8 wrx and build that, but having zero gravel racing experience alot of well know people advised me against it as i would probrably end up slamming the car. Atm idrive an 07 sti which has had some basic bolt on mods. Goes hard and is my dream car. I will start a build thread once i find a car.

Hi my name is Josh I'm from Queensland Australia. I am looking at buying a baleno gtx or a omg]is sport so thought I would join up. Atm I have a 500hp xr6 turbo and a 07 vitara turbo j20a that I built and tuned. It's running 12psi and putting out about 200hp. Stock internals.

I'm leaning torwards getting a baleno with the j18 because I know the j series and easier to get more hp then would be out of the ignis but ignis seems like nicer car

Cheers Josh

Hello everyone!

I'm Andy, in QLD and I've just bought a Mightyboy (no pics yet, wont be able to pick it up for a few weeks).
No doubt I will occasionally surface here to beg for help when something goes wrong, or to pick the brains of those more knowledgeable than I
First thing I've got to do is get it past Roadworthy!

Hi my name is Andrew and I live on Annerley road I have a White 94 mk3 GTi with roofracks.
It is pretty much stock except for the k&n replacement filter for the stock air box.
Has some issues such as the dizzy seal leaking which atcually busted a hose while driving.
It is my daily and in 3 weeks have done 3.5k km driving to and from work.
I used to own a 94 cino which was my first car and since then have always wanted a GTi.

Hopefully just going to do a few mild mods and take it to the track so i can have some real fun.

Anyway hopefully I would like to meet some others in brissy to catch up and learn more about these great little cars

Cheers Andy

ps heard about this site years ago from a bloke called GOOGLE

Hi guys, new here.
Got myself a genuine GTI last year but it's sat in the garage since I bought it. Never driven it, never turned the key on the ignition.
In the process of inspecting it and getting it running again, so thought here would be a good place to get any info needed.

Hi everyone, my name is James aka pariah. I have recently purchased a 1995 Swift GTi after deciding that I needed to downsize from a V6 Mitsubishi Magna due to fuel costs associated with the V6. I have an active interest in modifying cars and I look forward to meeting new people and seeing what other people have done with their cars. I will most likely be looking here for advice when I need it, so thanks in advance :D

Hi, I'm George16257 but you can just call me George  and I'm new to online forums.
I drive(don't hate me) one of those non Suzuki, Suzuki s that was badge engineered for GMH. A Holden Barina for anyone not from good old Aus.
I'm gradually getting it back into good nick but have a butt-load of questions that I hope you knowledgeable young pups can help me with.
Although I've been building and racing bikes and cars for 42 yrs I've had practically no experience with "Front Drive".
OK so the first thing I need to know is how go about asking a technical question. I can weld sh....ahh shoe polish to clay but "computaters" are a bit like black magic to me so can someone please fill me in?
Thanks Fellow Rev Heads,
George

Hi everyone.
My name is ryan and i live in melbourne. Recently just bought a 1997 gti. Had been looking for a while for a nice one. I have had a couple of swifts back in the day on my learners and p's. So i had a soft spot for them. Its quite standard apart from a exhaust. Recently found this forum after i knew i wanted a gti again. Theres a lot of good info on here. I definately want to mod this car but also need something reliable.
Cheers ryan

Hi,
my name is Markus and i am just about to start driving offroad trials with a SJ413.
I gained many experience with my E30 and E39 Bimmers but am a really newbie on Suzuki (and offroad as well).

I bought that SJ413 with a GTI MK1 engine and SJ410 axles already installed.
The car will only be used for offroad competitions and will never see a road again.
It is in a really bad condition and the engine swap was done quick'n'dirty.
Now i want to do some clean up, body welding, declutter the harness and so on.

Hope to find here as much information and tips as possible to understand the engine and how it should be swapped into the SJ the best way.
There's a lot of room for improvement in that little 4WD runner :)

Hey all
I'm steve from sydney,
Haha sounds like a "AA" meeting, anyway I got a 94 gti it looks like it has been owned by some young guy that's put veilside kit on it and big wheels and done some dodgy stereo wiring so it's seen better days.
Myself: I've been a fully qualified heavy vehicle diesel mechanic since 95 and now just work on my own fleet of 15 semi trailers as I got sick of being under paid and overworked so now I'm just overworked .
I'm very good at legal issues from traffic penalty notices through to debt collection because of my drivers throwing me in the deep end so If I'm on here just ask for some advice .
