My ignis sport is getting onto nearly 10 years old,During that period (touch wood) Its generally run faultless .Ive replaced the battery onces, done the two recalls (airbag n circlip) other then the general 10 thousand klm services The car has required nothing more then that.Still on original brake pads n discs, original shocks, struts and springs, original clutch, original exhaust and even the original oxygen sensor. And still getting betwen 40 and 45 m/g Last tank 42.8.(545klms on 36 litres).knowing when i brought the car I was taking a risk with suzuki products I have to admitt it has been the best Vehicle I ever owned far more reliable then the commodores and the like I once had.So Im asking how has your Ignis been for you ?

Nothing really, other than mice chewing the injector wiring to pieces! Just changed pads and rotors to better gear, even though there was still plenty of meat on them.

the only things done to mine so far:
10000km services
1 battery
recalls for airbag and circlip
front brake pads approx @150000km
rear brake pads @190000km
replaced clutch cable @160000km
new oxy sensor @120000km
still original clutch.
and i fitted aftermarket parts:
suzuki sport front sway bar bushes
tein lowered springs with suzuki sport lowered bump stops
cusco pan hard rod
suzuki sport clutch pedal
suzuki sport ignition leads
alloy fuel rail
suzuki sport short shifter
enough pioneer audio gear for 2 cars (see build thread)
K&N 57i intake kit

got to fit:
suzuki sport oil pan baffle plates
turbo kit (got turbo, manifold, intercooler, adaptronic ECU)

i still have the original everything else that i haven't modified or changed and my car has 210000km now.
i have to agree there a good reliable car.

The last time mine got serviced professionally was at 15,000kms (with the exception of the two recalls). The only actual fault has been an ignition coil, which cost all of $120 to fix.

Of course, I've changed brake fluid, brake pads, gearbox oil, engine oil, spark plugs/leads, coolant, batteries, globes, air filters, oil filters and all that stuff myself at sensible intervals.

A+++ would buy again.

just a flat battery & the two recalls
all fluids/filters changed at regular intervals
tyres just replaced after 70K/7 years
still original brake pads & clutch
reliability & fun factor A1

cusco strut brace
SS air intake/duct fitted earlier this year
King Springs fitted
Will look at a new Cat back exhaust, sourced locally
that will be about it...

I've hammered mine over the years, and the rear discs are going to need replacing soon. The AIRCON compresser recently died, but it looks like a failing condenser fan is probably to blame..one of those wear and tear things. It's been hailed on and numerous dings on the M1 from flying debris..but would replace it with another Ignis sport in a heartbeat.

Welcome back, King, been a while!
Yeah, still got my silver Iggy, not planning on letting her go
Only other option would be a replacement Iggy Sport
Can't afford anything else, they are going cheap online...

I'm on to my second. It's yellow now :)

Although, I miss your old exhaust, Kiego. I hate how my neighbours get more sleep than I do. It sort of brought balance to the world.

Of course as soon as you post on one of these threads, something in fact goes wrong...

After I had the Aircon fixed the car was still squealing. Tightened the Aircon belt twice, still no improvement and then cruising along and the alternator belt exploded. Was never replaced yet did 220,000 Km's. All belts replaced and tightened again and then today I get ignition recall notice.

Of course I realize this is probably all my fault as I do drive it like I stole it
