Hi there!

My name is Hugo, I just bought an Ignis Sport two days ago, it is silver with OZ wheels (16inches) with toyo T1-R at the front and some worn out KUMHO in the back, it has 154.000 KM(!), do you think it is too much??? It looks really nice and the engine works just fine in the 64 quilometers I have done with it...lol
What kind of oil should I use, because I need to change it really soon.. The ex-owner told me to use SHELL. What kind ? synthetic?
And what about the timing chain? Does it need to be changed? Sorry for my bad english..

Best Regards from Portugal!

Hi. I'm Clixton. I bought my monster a week ago. Achly my 2004 IS is as stock as they come, but that's a good starting point imo. Have been getting some ideas from pastposts but will only be doing handling mods for now...

Cheers.

What's up folks, newbie here from Perth, Western Australia. I bought myself a '04 Ignis Sport four days ago and I absolutely love it. I've been a motorcycle nut for years now, I rarely keep a roof over my head on the road but I'm a Suzuki motorcycle nut so I figured, why not try four-wheeled Suzukis? So very glad I did.

Second step in the modification process is to fiddle with the wheels and suspension - I'd like to lower it a bit, plus widen the tyres from 185/55 to 205/50 - still on 15" rims of course, though I am toying with the idea of going 205/45 on 16" rims. Not 17s though - I suspect they'll be too large and ungainly for such a small car.

Whatever rims I use, I'll have to either buy white ones or get them powdercoated white - love the look of the white rims on the red car!

First step is to put a damn stereo in it - previous owner took the deck with him when he went!

Hiya,
My name is Glenda and I'm from Northern Ireland. I don't actually have an Ignis YET but am going to look at one tomorrow night and am pretty excited about the thought of it. A 2003 1.5 Sport and I reckon it looks pretty awesome in the pics.

I just wanted to get an idea of owners experiences - warts and all 8-[

Hi Everyone,

I have been inactive on the Redline forum until now, and I thought it time to send a warm welcome to the Redline Suzuki community.

I have owned my 2003 Suzuki Ignis Sport for around six months, and I am deeply satisfied with the car. My previous vehicle, a 1996 Nissan GTST Skyline was sold earlier in the year as I wanted to downsize and reduce my daily costs.

Having attended track days in the Skyline I continue to do so in the IS. While the IS might lack in overall power, it does have excellent response and handling and is capable of very reasonable laptimes when you are committed to aggressive, neat driving.

I would like to thank Pugman (Jon) for being so helpful earlier in the year when I was evaluating the IS and its trackgoing capabilities.

I am by no means a track expert, but I am more than willing to offer some advice on anyone interested in taking their IS to the track.

Here are a few photos of my IS and events I have attended so far:

Finally, some pics of you @ OZMazda Wakefield day last weekend!!! Daz has mentioned you to me (and i keep an eye out for your track times at events you attend). No, im not stalking you -- just interested in what others are achieving and doing with their Ignis Sports. As you're aware, there isnt exactly a huge following here in Australia forum them.

I remember looking your car over at the dealership (FTG Suzuki?) -- your car was immaculate and the custom plates + fog lights were very tempting, but i ended up settling for a cheaper stock example missing the enkeis, so we've both owned ours for around the same period of time.

Look forward to hopefully meeting you in the future at some stage ;)

Hi Sp33dy, nice to hear from you. It really is a small world! As you say, the Ignis Sport community is a small niche to say the least. It would be nice to catch up someday, maybe at an event? :P

I completely understand you following my results. I think circuit times are a good indicator when it comes to evaluating a car.

You are 100% correct with my car's history. I can recall when I was in the market to buy an Ignis, there were very few available. However, I have recently noticed some clean examples on carsales.

The car is still going strong, I hope yours is doing the same. At this point I have no major modification aspirations as I want to focus on improving my driving. I am more than willing to offer advice in general or share experiences if you want to head out onto the track.

Again, nice to meet you Sp33dy, thanks for making the effort :D

It's funny how white looks hot when not many are painted that colour. Like, a white commodore looks plain boring. I think I got the boring colour when I went with silver.

Hi I am Scott from Brisbane. Recently picked up a blue Ignis Sport with 25,xxx kays on the clock. Have been through a number of turbo cars over the years (two s13s, one 180sx, one Aristo). Sick of old turbo cars, so decided to go for a sporty 4 cylinder latish model car.

The only mod to this car so far is tinted windows. I will be adding an amp and sub before too long though.

Hi, my name is Nemesis and i am from the Netherlands. Since july 2009 i can call myself a proud owner of a black Suzuki Ignis Sport. When i baught it it only had 25.000 kays on the clock. In the meantime 50.000

In that time i also changed a thing or two.

Spent a little time doing it up, possibly got carried away with a few decals :D
Just fitted new disc's and pads all round Full detail on the paintwork, new wheels and tyre's
Having great fun driving it around not bad for a 7 year old motor
