The new swift calipers bolt right onto gti, Honda sized pads too, uses all of the available disc face (if you're after budget big upgrade/ease of fitment)

+1

Thanks for the info Steve!

Braking in mine was always O.K, but I've seen far better. This might solve that problem!

(Any part numbers we should be aware of for future searchers?)

Bye,

Drew

I can confirm ZC21 (2005+ swift) and ZC31s (swift sport) from personal experience,
SX4 and ZC32s I'd hazard a guess but can't confirm.
Bolts right on over GTi discs 8)

Are you talking about front and rear?? If it includes the rears, does the GTi handbrake hook up?

Thats well worth knowing because there's plenty of good race pads available for the swift sport.PFC and Project mu to name a few.

But if it keeps GTi's going than I'm grateful to have shared

I'm very grateful! Now to find some swift sport calipers and give it a try :)

The sport calipers are the same as the base model swift.
So any front calipers from new swift 2005-2012 can be used

Are the Gti brake fluid lines a direct fit to the New swift calipers?

If they fit over a standard GTi disk what is the advantage. How much bigger are the pads?

I checked this out yesterday ,the pad surface area is marginally larger(on new swift) as they are
about 5mm deeper on the radial depth than a gti pad,the big advantage I see is that good quality race pads(as well as a choice of road pads) are available for the swift sport ,nearly every brand has a listing for swift sport.
PFC have available all the current compounds(01 or 03 being very suitable compounds for sprints ,hillclimbs and track racing).
Project mu have three race compounds
Ferodo ds2500 and ds3000
If anyone wants to do this conversion I have quite a few sets of low klm front calipers available from new swifts,$100 pr plus freight.
