I need some advice about this, I would like to buy 2nd hand tyres for my swift 195/45r17, and I saw this on Gumtree, http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/thornlie ... 1100159999, the price is $70 each, considering that the original price is about $214 online according to https://www.tyroola.com.au/bridgestone- ... 129d1.html, do you think, it's a good price already for used tyres? Another problem, there are just two of it on gumtree, anyone who can recommend where to buy? I can buy the new ones, but if there's a good deal, I might consider the used ones since it might be cheaper.

Thanks!

By the time you find two more tyres, then pay for fitting and balancing it probably won't be worth it.
Switch to a 205/40/R17 and you'll have plenty of options:

With 2nd hand tyres, you don't really know how they have been treated by the original owner.
I have bought some a few years ago when I was unable to afford to buy new tyres.
A couple of months later I had a blowout when just driving at 80kmh on a highway with no apparent reason for this to happen. I was about to enter the 100kmh zone so was lucky that I was able to stop and change the wheel without having an "incident".

OK, I guess if your current tyres aren't roadworthy and you can't afford new ones then 2nd hand has to be a better option for you. Just be aware of what can happen and buy new ones when your finances permit.
