I feel your pain, I bought a Bacci LSD off AleksandarSSGti on this forum a few years ago, 3 rallies old he told me, I should be thankful I at least received it, turned out to be a total lemon, both hemisphere's and all the spiders were stuffed, cost of replacement parts was over $1300 from Italy, no refund and $900 out of pocket, not happy...

Would be nice if anyone could help by contacting Gus.

I was hanging back to see if I could work it out but now I won't. I bought a very long list of parts off of him at the end of may... well when I say bought I mean paid for and not seen anything or heard from him since!

I am out of pocket more than I care to make public which has meant my build is now in limbo again until I can get the funds to get at it!

I have been buying and selling on here for years now without ever having an issue, to get this from someone how has been around as long as Gus I am gutted.

FYI he is on here a lot he just hides that he is logged in.

if you made a direct deposit for the items, you therefore have a BSB and an account number an therefore an ID. Go to the Police.

Well if you check my build thread, I paid Gus more than a grand for droo's turbo kit,
And... Then he diss appeared for years without sending it.
Lo and behold he popped up again recently selling parts.
Trying to give him the dignified option, I privately messaged him and didn't publicly make a
fuss.. Note he dropped sales threads each time I posted on them.
Things happen sometimes, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Picture show man recieved the item he dealt for, and Gus used to be consistently reliable.
Guess that's not the case now, as despite my messages being received to his account I've received no explanation or any form of reply.
So unless Gus is willing to state his case :?:
I guess he's on the "Not to be trusted" list
Extremely disappointing turn out really.

I also have his mobile number, full name and am trying to track his address. Problem is being interstate things are hard to prove. But I do have a phone full of messages he sent before disappearing on me too.

I bought parts off him 2 weeks or so before I paid for this lot and even though one item "couldn't fit" the rest came as desribed, which is why I came back for more bits and loaded up :(

Electoral Roll will give his address & then go to the police!

Tassie, share his phone number etc that you have with the others, via PM if you dont want to put it up.

You should all work together to get this guy stopped

Hi All,

Firstly, I must stress that I'm not out of pocket at all because I never ended up going through with this sale. In fact, I was actually feeling a little bad for not replying to his last PM... now I'm not so sure!

The PM trail and dates listed below are for the benefit of anyone who is owed money. I was looking to buy the complete engine and I sincerely hope this seller wasn't trying to sell me something that had already been 'sold' to someone else. As you will see below, I had correspondence with him up until the 13th of June when I was offered a price drop. I never received any photos or Paypal details at my personal email address which I've also removed from the text for privacy reasons.

Time for Gus to come forward and explain himself. If all is well and it is just a big misunderstanding, I am more than happy to retract this entire post. :?

Hi,

I'm interested in the complete engine.

Do you have good quality photos of everything? Do you have receipts for the work done? Do you have Paypal?

Cheers,

Drew

hey mate, send me your email address and i will shoot you a cpl pics. did you want an intake manifold and other bolt on items or just plain long motor?

i do have a receipt from the previous owner i can look for it. i went to the same mechanic so i confirmed it all with him when i bought the car from a mate to be certain.

i do have paypal, cant you do bank transfer? paypal always takes a slice so youd have to add 3 % or something so i dont short changed.

how did you plan on sending it from me to you? courier or someone else in mind? if not i can look into it further.

thanks

Looking for a long motor... I've already got the rest! I usually use E-go and I can arrange pickup if it is suitable for me and on a pallet.

Early days yet but I'm toying with setting up my spares car for track! Just not sure whether to go turbo (yours) or high comp n/a (mates got one for sale). So I guess I'm still sizing up my options.

As for using PayPal, I got burned a while back with a direct transfer! Never again. (No offence intended! :) )

Cheers,

Drew

I am not comfortable with posting someone's personal info online. If someone else has been scammed PM me and we can talk. I don't share person info for any reason, the reason I haven't posted about this mess with his name was to give Gus a fair chance to sort this out with me.

I am sad to see others have had the same thign :(

Forget the police.. They will say it's a civil matter and direct you to start legal efforts to retrieve the money.. and even after you have been doing all that stuff and jumping through all the hoops and paying for bailiffs and even after him being forced to appear before a magistrate...he still does not have to pay... Just spent 2 years chasing $3500 from someone who blatantly stole it and with all the evidence you could imagine...Made no difference. If we want to keep trying to get it we need to go and fill out another 3 forms and have those documents lodged and even then he still can get away with it...What this idiot, in our case, doesn't understand, is that he wont even be able to get a new mobile phone plan or borrow any money for a car, house or what ever because his credit rating is now xxx...It's gunna cost him big time. Stuff like this hangs around peoples necks like a neon sign saying "don't trust this person or lend them money" ....

Sorry to hear that, to think I was going to buy something from him but didnt bother cause he sounded a bit vague about a product he was selling. I guess if he doesnt clarify the theft of peoples money here then he shouldnt be allowed to advertise here by the moderators.

Wow, i'm shocked by this, Gus use to be quite good around here, about 8 years ago i bought a set of cams from him, they turned up with no problems.

Guess Gus has some answering to do, i will see if i have any info of him.

I purchased an intercooler and piping off him a few months ago and other than taking a few weeks longer than expected I did get it all eventually and was happy with the items

I have got some parts and am getting the odd payment to repay what is owed on parts that he never had!

Not ideal but something back is better than nothing!
