TouchBB iPhone app support would be a grat addition if you can do it Sam.

Use it with another forum and works well, makes things easier to ready rather than using safari on the iphone.

There is a lite version (Free) or a paid app $1.19.

Does it support file uploads? It's shitting me at the moment not being able to upload pics off my iPhone because i don't have access to a computer that I can transfer pics onto to upload them.

On a side note, I don't have any problems browsing using safari, I just pinch the screen when neccesary

The point is anyone can read anyone elses PM's if they know what they are doing.. ie... the script is a major security risk.

Additionally anyone can view all people's attachments.. including attachments from PM's.

This site works fine on my BlackBerry, well apart from the fact that I have to post from a BlackBerry. Also, I don't have any PM's worth reading.

The site works fine on iPhone / iPad too.. guess the touch app is to make it more streamlined.

As I don't trust the touchbb.php code for a second.. i'm going to have to say stick to Safari for now ;)

Unfortunately this is a limitation of the API on the phone, not the site. It is also locked out in Atomic Browser.

There are some hacks to get around it.. by installing 3rd party code.. but as above.. I would have to trust the code that is going on.

Only really alternative is to upload to flickr and link.. which is not something I get to excited about anyway.. will keep an eye out for a solution.

Hi Sam, any chance to revisit this? Seems that the issues you pointed out have been fixed.
Cheers. Simon.

It's not so much about those specific issues, but the fact that those problems should never have existed as they were basic and put everyone's private data at risk.

Taptalk has had its fair share of issues too.

I'm turning into the master of saying No to new ideas.. I realise this.. but I don't think the gains are worth the risk and management overhead in a lot of the cases.

Is the main driver the ability to upload content from your Phone/iPad? If so I will look at other alternatives.

Hi Sam,
The main reason is that it makes viewing so much nicer on a phone, rather than the clumsy via Safari (which I hate, even as a dedicated mac user). Its no big drama, I completely accept your response, and views on it.

A Facebook page would probably do ... We all know how easy it is to upload pics on to Facebook from iPhone ... I just add people if I wanna show them something but for others a face book page would be easier as no pm can be seen and if it's a private pic ur sending u may as week just sent it to the person rather than upload it somewhere

Although a redline app would be pretty wicked :)

Apparently IOS 6.x added Safari file upload functionality including selecting images from your gallery. This should work with existing file upload feature on the site. Is anyone able to confirm?

You can do a lot of things on IPad that you can't do on IPhone .... Having said that I have no idea how to upload pics at all so some one else with an I phone will have to have a go at it :)
