Two days ago I got to catch up with one of the old associated site Teamswift crew (and his lovely wife) near Palm Springs .. he is awesome and his hospitality was above and beyond my expectations ..

Tonite I have been in Phoenix Arizona and the Teamswift crew here have been amazing .. I even had the pleasure to drive a MK1 T3 .. and I am a believer!!! Buzzing around unknown roadways in the middle of the USA .. wooohoo!!

We have the Mk1 TwinCam but those guys with the T3 .. well I wasnt expecting the power and the performance ...

Tomorrow I leave for Grand Canyon and then move on to Vegas

I have to truly thank all the Teamswift members that I have met for the hospitality and showing me a great time ..

Sounds like you're having a good time. How's the 3 pot turbo feel compared to the 1300?
Maybe load up a few suitcases and bring some back????

I have to admit the 3 pot turbo is better overall ... agggghh ..

At the top end they are similar ... but the initial acceleration is better with the T3 .. so you get the couple of car lengths .. then they maintain the same speeds, but when you keep adding a few corners .. the T3 out does the twin cam ... a G10 engine with turbo ...awesome!!!

It is sad to have to admit the USA got the better deal ...

Was trying to work out how to fit one in my suitcase ...

There is always the option of just importing a full drive train etc

Importing the drivetrain would be a bit of a WOFTAM. Wouldn't be hard to make a G10A turbo with Aussie parts and some manifold customising. Bonus is that you wouldn't have the turd of a log manifold they saddled on the American motors. It dead set looks like a cut down cast iron lamp post!

Alright sorry for late replying...

Gladly knew that you had a blast in USA... His MK1 turbo is pretty tuned as I am sure.

I drove many Suzuki cars except Mk1 GTi
MK1, MK2 turbo (totally different generation but both is equal due to unique... honestly...)
MK2, Mk3 Gti (I like MK3 GTi... no matter... I felt factory MK2 gti downgrade, old, and not smooth.... I understood Mk3 is heavier but still)

I would like to say my Mk3 Suzuki GA Turbo is better... Based metro with 1.0L turbo therefore it is highly modified between Mk2 and MK3.

Why? more fun to drive... but Gti is better on highway tho. I always wish to have 6 speed on my Mk3 GAT.
