It's good to see the fire is still in the belly around Redline as it was getting disturbingly quiet in the General Discussion Forum.

As impressive as these figures sound coming from these small engines, unless you have the right suspension/driveline/tire setup to get the power to the ground it isn't necessarily going to equate to the super quick sub 11 sec quarter mile times DMW Dave has achieved.

Good luck to all whatever your purpose for these cars.

Just to throw my numbers out there and help get this thread back on track... wel just to show my numbers really. Here is the dyno sheet for my new setup. It's yet to me removed from the GTi it did this in and the specs can be seen in my build thread (well when I post them in a minute they can) and while it's not a record, I'm pretty impressed with it all!

WHile its not 240fwkw its not a bad effort for a "safe tune at 18psi"

Cheers! I can't really take the credit as all the work was done by the last owner but still its a nice figure and a VERY quick car from my 200km trip to get it home. 8)

Well my 6yo son rode shot gun for the 200km run home and he was egging me on the whole time :P I didn't speed (that's what a race track is for!) but I did get to the highway limit (110km/h) very quickly! :D

We booked looked like this  then this  =D> then my son started to do this [-o< "d it again!"

It was a fun trip despite all the roadworks :x Though it was good for sorting out the problem areas in the tune like warm idle being to low (stalls out after a while) and the Autometer Tacho not reading properly (6000rpm @ 110km/h on GTi Ratios!)
