Yep, that's the one. Look for a for sale post here by strider for some discussion on the gasket.

The genuine MLS they list on eBay is the APV part, the part number however is a Ruse.
You order gasket number 11141-86502 and you'll get a factory graphite gasket.
Even though the eBay listing quotes that numbers and ends it with MLS the number is a red herring to prevent anyone getting them direct from Suzuki.

I'm confused bewitched. I haven't opened the head gasket box yet. Are you saying I bought the MLS one as it states in the eBay ad? Just the part number is incorrect.

I'm trying to make sure no one gets hood winked.
If you got it from the eBay seller, it'll be a mls (but that part number quoted is wrong)
If you've ordered direct from Suzuki using the number ending in 86502, you'll get a graphite gasket.
If you ordered number ending in 61J00 from Suzuki, you'll get your MLS

This number on the eBay ad "11141-86502-MLS" is bulls**t

Bewitched GTI. YUP you were dead right. The part number on my genuine suzuki MLS head gasket is the 61J00 number. That's what is written on my head gasket cover even though the ebay number was different. You have obviously been here before! =D>

Recently got a gasket in for a friend, ended up with the graphite one as he gave me a part number, not a description of what he wanted.
So I'm making sure no one else ends up with same drama, bloody internets

confirm that, just run out to shed to check my gasket ends in 61J00 , JUST HAPPY I GOT THE RIGHT GASKET #-o

SORRY ABOUT THE WRONG part number but yes the e bay site from BOWENS shows the misleading 1114-1-86502-mls and 11141-71000-mls numbers

Now the next question is....what does the MLS gasket compress too? Mine is 1.25mm thick. I searched but came up empty. I guess being metal it doesn't compress bugger all....just flattens out the raised parts. I measured it at the very edge with a micrometer.
So if it's 1.2mm it does change my CR a little. I originally worked it out on 1.5mm gasket, 30 cc combustion chamber. 75mm bore, 75.5mm stroke, 6.5cc dome (from mike at three tech) and zero deck height. That was 11.97:1. A 1mm gasket would be 12.87:1 and mine 12.54:1.
I had no idea such a small change in the gasket thickness made such a difference.
Better be using avgas I reckon.

Less than a compression point, you'd change that tolerance after a year of use just from carbon build up on piston crown :!: Better switch to nitro meth to keep it surgically clean

I do have the 222/365 cams so I guess they may lower the compression a little with increased overlap etc. I'll use avgas....tune it and enjoy the extra power. Nice that these things sip fuel! :D
