air box done mated to the air scoop with a left over 3 to 2.5 inch reducer exhaust flange . the air box is originally a electrical box and a wix air filter to suit with a small mod for a tight sealed fit

waiting for parts , so back on the gauges , checked out on a forum that ket smoked lens gauge is s**t during the day ,in a convertible it would be worse to read ,so i sold them and opt for 60mm defi' gauges the innovate fuel /air gauge is on the other side of the car because it is highly sensitive to electrical interference and also holds the dash mat down.added a dual turbo boost switch to a made up plate on the console .finish fitting gauges next week.

Nice build you got going there..
Love the detail

Only one thing I don't like on it is that cooler
Worst cooler for your application
So much attention to detail on the car and then the cooker looks too bored up too many solcone hoses and clamps

You need a cooler that the outlet exits at the back of the cooler tank or out the side
Not out the top and facing the wrong direction

There's pics of a neater setup using a xr6 cooler (also another link in there with pics from another build). The end tank has been switched around though for easier pipework.

yes i know it looks backyard but i am a backyarder, this build is all guesswork. would be a lot neater if i ditch the bov . do you see a performance problem with the set up ? with the u turn pipe after the bov thinking it might be beneficial to not affecting the air flow meter readings. it all fits if i change something now it affects other s**t work i have done.

The question is, if you leave the cooler how you have it, how do you route the return line to the throttle body? Unless you have a reverse manifold you'll end up with a lot of unnecessary pipe work. The examples in SW's link are much better solutions for that cooler.

Loving the gauges! I run Autometer Sport Comp ones for the most part which look the goods in daylight but battle in at night. If I can't find a decent LED bulb solution a setup like this is on the cards for my car too. nice work

thanks tassie yes very clear to read day and night .just got more parts in a 5mm phenolic spacer [to stop heat transfer from block to manifold] and reverse intake manifold from suzukird. not that impressed with the quality , inlet openings mis align and clearance for injectors out .quite a bit of filing ,grinding and polishing to be done .will use the inlet spacer as a template.

Looking the goods mate. What ecu are you going to run? Chipped ecu still or stand alone?

I'm only running 7-10psi boost and going with gtaye turbo chipped ecu, stock pistons ,standard injectors , don't want to stress the rest of the drive line. I'm in the s**t already with the cost of this build . [-X
