After being out of the GTi game for many years it was definetly time to buy another one.
I was on the hunt for a stock mk3 preferably in white however when this little beauty popped up last weekend i knew i had to jump on it. It will be quite a slow build as my e36 project and M3 takes most of my cash!
Looking just to tidy this one up and keep it looking factory fresh along with some engine/handling upgrades.

Engine

Looks like a solid daily there, nice pick up :) Good luck with not spending too much on it... we all know how these things go

Got the door locks semi fixed yesterday.. at least now the car locks! :)
Central locking is a bit dodgy and the rods have too much play in them. The car locks/unlocks fine from the inside, however when using the key outside it will only unlock the drivers door.. hasn't got enough movement to unlock the passenger side.

Also started cleaning out a few years worth of dirt and grime.
Hopefully the weather is good this week and it can be cut back and polished. [-o<

Feels so good to own a gti again! :D

Started tidying inside the car today.
Got rid of the shocking steering wheel and bought
a cheapo autobarn one that will do til i find a nice wheel to suit.
Removed the dodgy stereo wiring that was all over the place.
Put insurance on it and enjoyed a little put around.. May already need a
TPS Switch.. Wanted to stall at the lights a couple times.
Gave it a good vacuum too.

Anybody selling clear front and side indicators? Or have a link to a place that sells them?

Also does anybody know if Whiteline still manufactures front and rear strut braces?
