Well guys I've had my swift about 6 years now and have been a fan of this site for a while now! Was kinda ashamed of my baby compared to your well put together gtis!
I'll show you the build from where I started and how far I've Reached with my ideas and concepts I got from you guys as well as my imagination!
hope you guys like it! Alot of time money and effort was taken as I did most of the work myself!

Realized that 16" rims with 205/45 r 16 tires dont work that well so i found some 15" *6.5inch rims..also installed some gti sideskirts
......put on some 195/45 r15 tires....now it performs and handles alot better!

I'm sure some of the purists might object, but I'm impressed.
Like the grey colour too.

Welcome to the sight and thanks for sharing! I really like the look of the car an the starlet swap is not uncommon. How do you find it?

Thanks for the welcome guys! The conversion works great...Great straight line acceleration..Just I find it a bit heavy on the front end! Changed over to gti front brakes for a bit more stopping power but the handling is not the same as before! Its a work in progress...

Wow dude that's awesome! And that starlet engine is a really good one. Could you elaborate more on the conversion? Maybe post some pictures of the engine mounts, drive-shafts, etc?
Keep up the good work . Btw don't worry about "purists", they are just negative people who can't understand logical/practical thinking. At the end, it's all about how fast the car is and how good it handles... not about what parts you use.

Well currently the car is not as you see it here! I've always wanted to have some sort of timeline of my "baby"...yeah I used to be a purist as well...but because I'm a student atm, funding matters greatly. And well the starlet engine is way more practical for me as I live where gti parts are scarce! Some parts still have to be ordered from the US. This year I entered the car in autocross so I'm trying to sort out some suspension issues...The car is parked up since I have been in an accident and have a mild back injury...dont worry, the car is safe..the accident was with another car! I'll show pics of the conversion shortly!

starlet axles vs swift gs axles! I used gti outer cv joints with my starlet inner joints!! They were cut and welded to make one whole axle!! Just had a reinforcement sleeve added to the join!! fworks great!!

car looks good, I like the white wheels and the Aero also looks good, dont know if the swift goes fast enough but hey...also good for slicing peoples legs off...I like em!
GTi rear disks, hubs and knuckles will bolt straight on to your car giving you rear disks as well. Easy if you can find them.
Cheers

The car's aero was just for the look..but I must say the front lip eliminates most of the air from getting under the car! So it feels a bit more stable over 180km/ I've got her past the 220km a few times! Thanks guys! But I think I may have to start getting parts from down under! Rear disks are pretty much hard to get my hands on here in Trinidad! I'm currently aquiring my engine parts to go full race! Will take some time to get her where I want but I'm enjoying every minute of it! Anyone down there willing to send me some front shocks to stiffen the front end?

Thanks for the info dude, the Starlet drive-shafts are clearly stronger... maybe next time you can use the shafts form the 1.6L Suzuki engine to make your combo, as those are bigger than the stock Gti ones and a straight fit to Gti knucles.
I'm thinking about an engine swap, if I ever buy a Gti again. Btw were the engine mounts easy to fabricate?
