I bought this baby in Christchurch and bought it back to Auckland she has 100 odd thousand k's and Niken pedals are the only mod. Big thanks to ROB in Christchurch for selling it to me and setting it up.

There is now a whine that increases with revs, and is not there when the clutch is depressed. It comes more from the left side of the car i think. The gearbox has oil on it, but it isn't pooling on the ground or anything.

I think it would be good to change the gearbox oil anyway?

What is the right stuff considering it seems to be leaking a bit?

Cheers

Oil is Castrol VMX80. Noise might be a s simple as the throwout bearing which shouldn't be touching the clutch with the peddle out. Should be about 1/4 inch free play at the arm on the gearbox.
