Hi guys,

I would like to introduce my MK1, I have the car for almost 5 years and now I am running fresh rebuild engine(2nd in total), running stock 105 PS, the previous owner did a lot of changes and now when i realized value of the car I am trying to rebuild it to the factory conditions as colour and all the stuff, Next colour will be black with silver metalic bumpers and sideskirts, I am trying to find someone in the middle Europe who is selling original Suziki MK1 GTi alloys, hope ill find him soon, I need them for Veteran reg plates.

I changed the arms,tranny(3rd in total), first one was with LSD but i totally cracked it,second is waiting for rebuild(synchro are singing some opera song :D ) also I bought nice original seats, just need time to clean them :D and put them back. car wasnt so rusted so it needed just little bit of welding.

New springs and dampers were instaled, waiting and saving money for new exhaust, present one has some little holes and its whistling on full thortle, I need a factory one anyway.

Also I have another engine waiting for rebuild, some webbers with nice cams and 4-2-1 ex manifold. Its my 1st MK1 GTi but i have another one for daily use, i had 4 of those little pocket rockets one was race car built for autocross(mud and gravel with 140 hp and 550 kg)

when the car will be sprayed and restored i will upload pics, i hope it will be soon.

Nice work on the blue one, I think I like the white one best though.

Some very well presented cars there. I'm still looking at the teal one trying to figure our the bars. Is it just the colour scheme making it look different or is there a lip there?

Id love to see some pics and details of your autoX car if it wasn't too long ago to recall.

Ah yess. The ol' pic descriptions.

Lot of work in molding them together I imagine.

yup, it was nightmare to fit it nicely, and even all the work didnt cost the effort and the final result was different than I expected. I like old fashion look. and my autoX photos are gone. maybe there are some videos somewhere on the web but I can find them it was really fast car. In my 1st race i hit the barier in the corner, i was too fast and etc. Survived just two seasons and than I sold it just for the Engines price. So bad I havent got the photos, if I will find some I will upload.

Thanks,

I like white one too, more than green but I spent a lot of work on the green and its in better condition than white one ( for correction its combination of blue and green). The Green one is my first MK1 GTi so I have some feeling for green :D
