Was looking through this we just bought a baleno for beer money
and am doing budget conversion by dropping whole setup into my wife's
3dr Cino.
Had to chuckle at this bit

So the noodle grenade is getting more attention now.
did you have a part number for the longer belt to suit twin cam head?

Having played with the donor baleno we have at home, I can say that the new swift caliper upgrade will fit the baleno as well.
The caliper piston size isn't an improvement over late model baleno, nor will it make any difference to the fitment of 13" wheels, but it'll open up the availability of pads for your racing.
Just a thought eh.
And if you put new swift hubs on your knuckles (using baleno bearings) then you could utilise the discs too (that is assuming you're not putting wilwoods on)

I have fitted gtxbaleno brakes. Gs model have 235mm on
The gtx have 246mm and I have converted the rear drums to the gtx disc brakes.

good to see you tackled the weakest link by going for better rods! :D

The throttle bodies should be closer to the head, you might want to get
your guy to reweld them to get max performance before its all together
It reduces pulsing and reversion issues with overlap

These are an example for the datsun race guys, no one has come up with
a better performing ITB setup and the secret is positioning the butterflys
as close to the inlet to the head as possible. The differences are huge.
