haha damn, yeah i was kinda lucky, mine flipped up just coming out of a 60km zone into an 80km. didnt panic at all just stuck my head out the window, pulled over, jumped out and re-bent my bonnet back into shape so it would close, had a little anger fit, jumped back in and drove home

Freaky experience for you there mate. Lucky that was the worst that happened. Bet it got the blood pumping though.
Glad you're both ok. 8)

my newest addition to my swift. no its not just a douchey start button its my full PKE (Passive Keyless Entry) so i dont need keys anymore its actually really awesome not having to fiddle for keys in and out of your pockets, coupled with the auto window roll up just walk away from the car and its locked and closed. only unlocks and starts if the keys are within 1-2m so it is safe.

WOOT! i finally got around to trying my hand at painting. didnt do too bad a job for a weekend and my first time at painting.
also done the leads, plugs and fuel filter then added some bonnet struts.

Have 2 bumpers but went with the one that was on my car as it wasnt cracked.

came out alright but will have to do the bonnet again as bugs got into it before drying, will have a spray booth next time.

while i was at it i decided to add in some bonnet struts, they are just a couple of swift boot struts with a simple bracket made up and they work great
i know they could look better if i done them lower on the bonnet and further forward (like gtigiannis) but i thought this way will be less in my way when i work on it.
They are already awesome.

got me a 20mm Kmac rear sway bar thanks to DMWDave, installing it was rather easy, havent noticed any real difference yet in handling but i have only driven a tiny bit around town so far, will take it on the mooball-murwillumbah road next weekend, a winding road i know well, to see what difference there is.

New and old bar together

Thanks, hope u find a swift u like Andrew

so for my latest addition that i done the other day was installing the TurboSmart Dual Stage Boost Controller tho its currently only a single stage, havent hooked up the switch yet.
i upped the boost from 5psi to 8psi but then i found there was a whooshing noise in the high rpms and got worse when i upped the boost. figured out it was the BOV i left in from the old setup. I thought the spring should be able to resist more than 7psi but i was wrong. So i have removed it and the only thing i can find to block it was a speaker magnet lol

with the old BOV removed and the psi at 8 it has a pretty good pull at 4500rpm

Finally got around to installing my new goodies for my swift
got the parts from a mate for trade prices and worked out to be about $250 all bushes are SuperPro
SPF1433K Control arm lower Rear Caster Bushes these are meant to add 0.5 degree caster (2 pieces)
SPF0678K Control arm lower Front Bushes (2 bushes, 2 crush tubes)
SPF0903-4K Front sway bar link Bushes (4 pieces)
SPF0618-24K Front sway bar mount-to-chassis Bushes (2 pieces)
2 x Rack Ends
4 x Camber bolts (will use 2 unless 4 is needed)

so since my rack ends were getting a bit of movement and all my bushes were standard, i believe, i thought it was a good time to do it all at once
First up i got a wheel alignment to check out what the situation was with it all (lucky i got this one for free while a mate had the workshop) i recommend having one done before hand just so u can tell if you make separate caster adjustments, mine turned out to be quite even at 1.2 deg, toe was difficult since the bad rack end and camber was about 1 deg negative.
anyway i got it all done and only added 2 washers behind the front bush about 5mm total, that was with having the nut far enough on. hopefully i can get the wheel allingment done on saturday and get to take it for a spin.
probably will do a write up of this job when i get time.
