It's sad that I envy the dash because it's different :D .. only just realised the cluster surround is quite different too.

Interesting it's winders on a MK3.. but I guess the Justy isn't exactly the performance model ;)

Did you notice it has dual airbags? An interesting omission from later model Swifts in Australia.

Stop wasting money on this and finish the cossy and get it back here and into the esky. You have some catching up to do.

Tosh this is the performance upgrade over the peddly!
Simon, cossy is finished, just sitting here in the lounge waiting for our return in 11-12 months, then watch your time get smashed! or maybee not but it will be quicker than it is now, well better be.
Yep dual airbags and ugly dash...I hope to swap this out if I can get away with it.

cheers

Its also much cheaper paint than the paint used on most of the cars I own and he bonnet gets stone chips so readily and Lets be honest...

well its beginning to look like a car again, ebayed a set of bumpers with mounting brackets and discovered the front end was junk. mounting bracket was bent in 3 directions so will go new on that so it all has to come off again to fit new reinforcing. Ebay seller claimed bumpers were in good condition, hate to see their version of average condition, a split through middle of lower section and the bottom half falling off even the vents were rubbish. Oh well rear is much better so that goes on next week.

managed to find correct sized panel bungs for fitting the side skirts so these are now secured into the sill panel after squaring off the 6 mounting holes to accept the bung...harder than I though upside down lying on cold concrete but wont pull out and fixed just like suzuki intended

Needs lowering still!

so 2 New front arches, all bolts and nuts rethreaded/cleaned, panels aligned, looms grafted. Just need to do it all again next week!^(@^@$##(

Cheers for looking

big is better

Bit of an update,

have had the rear end finished for a while, cut and spliced looms as it was easier than changing the whole loom, 9 wires to connect.

got some GTi seats on the weekend, scrubbed them up like new, probably replace the rear pocket as the backing boards are soft and bent...but look and feel great for the money.

unfortunately in putting the seats in last night discovered a wet patch onthe ground, the drive around south England on the weekend saw a stone pierce the radiator so a new on is on the way...damn cheap to, so cant complain too much.
have new speakers and stereo and momo steering wheel to go in and hope to collect GTi interior door cards, spot lights and front hubs ready for wilwoods...

Also hoping to find time to undertake lowering this weekend possibly, as I also picked up lowering springs...and its still bloody necessary

cheers

No messing about this time. Though in 92 nearly 20 years ago I didnt have the disposable income I have now. and then they were new so parts were expensive now they are dirt cheap.
A japaneese car in UK not so popular in terms of modifyiing but enough were sold to supply parts.

Good to meet you to Jerry, Andy and James on Sunday
we had a great day alongt he coast walking beaches and climbing castles.

Next update not to far away I hope. Looking for paint options too.

cheers,

GTP
