Yeah I've asked all the questions I can think of and he is being very professional about it all, he answered all questions I asked and freight has been organized.

Oh forgot to mention gtaye, it's a 95 swift that was resprayed with a stronger stock colour.

Yes that's the one I'm thinking about!
I hope it does turn out to be a good car and hasn't been resprayed the hide an accident...
In my trade I have seen it done 100's of times owner stacks car, gets dodgey fix done at home, comes in to my work, I have to line every thing up, car gets resprayed, I spend hours lining every thing back up again and the owner sells to unsuspecting nub....
I hope for your sake it hasn't been the case

Its hard to say if it has or not... He could also say it's show room perfect and it's another story when you receive the car ... did you have an independent inspection done? they are worth the $150 odd they cost..

I also Question the respray thing... looking at the back.. those decals dont look like they have been removed/changed as they look like they have suffered normal wear and tear of a 10yr + old car... these are normally things to be removed during the re-spary... And if they had been replaced... why wouldn't they also put the badge back on the front bonnet... logic really?!

It does look like an honest car.. but yeh.. things like gearbox, engine condition etc is something you really need to consider and have checked if you cant do it yourself...

Before going any further... I'd probally invest in a plane ticket (They are cheap enough) fly over... check it.. hand him the cash.. and then freight it back if you dont want to drive.. there is nothing like inspecting the car in person...
