Australian Manufactured Polyurethane Engine Mount Sets To Suit GTi's.
Solid polyurethane with a two piece design for easy installation.
Available in 50, 60, 70, 72, 75, 80 and 90 Duro (A).
(OEM mounts I have measured are 60 duro but have large voids making them effectively much softer)
I am recomend 50 or 60 duro for modified street cars and lower power track cars.
Harder for your high HP applications.
Dimensions are listed following so you can determine whether they will suit your application. So far these mounts have been installed in quite a few Mk3 track and street cars with good success.
I have also found that the Right and Rear mounts will, with slight modification, fit front and rear mount positions on some front wheel drive Corollas that have a 4 mount system. And they have been used in G13B conversions in Minis. Perhaps you have another application they will work in?
Installation dimensions as follows -
Right Hand Side - Main bush dia 73.5mm, Main bush length 40mm, Flange dia 86mm, Flange thickness 15mm, Assembled width / crush tube length 70mm
Left Hand Side - Main bush dia 81mm, Main bush length 40mm, Flange dia 86mm, Flange thickness 8mm, Assembled width / crush tube length 56mm
Rear - Main bush dia 78mm, Main bush length 40mm, Flange dia 86mm, Flange thickness 8mm, Assembled width / crush tube length 56mm
All crush tube bores are 10mm clearance.
Flange thickness is such that all lateral movement is eliminated, unlike the OEM mounts which have a lot of side clearance and rely on a rubber washer as a "Bump Stop".
Please note that the following pictures show mount housings for illustration purposes only, and the crush tubes pictured are prototypes. Crush tubes are now poly for lighter weight and improved corrosion resistance.
Included in the kit is three pairs of bushes with crush tubes only.

Price:
214.50 AUD per set, including GST, plus shipping, for Australian orders.
195.00 AUD per set, excluding GST, plus shippng, for international orders.

Steve supplied a set for us to test in the jasstv GTi

They are are well worth buying to minimise engine movement

many benifits ,minimizing axle tramp, stress on the gearbox

You will notice from the photo Steve has made the poly mounts wider to be fully supported in the chassis mount. Great design feature for reducing fore & aft movement

Cheers Steve

Any chance of making an Ignis Sport set, or just for the gear box mount to prevent engine movement?

Not economical unfortunately. The main driver for this project was that I wanted a set for myself. Offering the mounts for sale is just a way to try and recover some of the cost of the moulds. I posted the sizes so people can check out other potential fits they may work in. It is easy to "Under Pour" the casting and reduce the flange thickness if necessary. (This is what I did for one of the mounts used in the Corolla application). If you let me know the Ignis mount sizes I can have a look into your options.

Could you put them into a lathe & skim some material off?
Would give others who need them for other applications an option

Looked into this and the answer is unfortunately no.
These materials in the 50 to 80 duro on the A scale wont machine well.
Some of the harder materials do machine well, but if you were to use them you may as well make a solid metal insert.
The only thing I havent tried is carefully sanding it down, as it were, on a linishing belt.
This may give ok results, if a little unsightly.

Hi,

DHL is 157.00 AUD, and quoted delivery time is 3 days.
Total price 352.00 AUD.

Standard air mail is 65.00 AUD, and I would estimate to take one to two weeks.
Total price 260.00 AUD.
