Item Description:
Cold Start Valve Blanking Plates - NEW STOCK

I have recently finished developing a Blanking Plate for Swift GTi to remove the Cold Start Valve and all associated piping and fittings so that the cold start valve is removed from the engine bay of the G13B completely.

This is my Business' (Online Auto Supplies) first custom made part. Although not overally fancy or going to increase your engines power output, it does however remove the problematic CSV altogether, aswell as all the coolant lines and fittings associated to it and also gives some extra space behind the intake manifold.

Blanking Plates:
The Blanking Plates are laser cut from 3mm thick structural grade aluminium.

I have this setup currently fitted to my GTi, and have been very happy with the fitting and overall end result of the product.

As i now own the CNC programme to make these plates, there is an unlimited supply of them.

Price Range:
All Prices in Australian Dollars.
CSV Blanking Plates:
:arrow: Raw finish alloy only - $20.00

FREE POSTAGE WORLDWIDE !!

I'm also keen for a plate by itself.

As an opening special, ive decided to sell the first 14 plates for the following prices;
:arrow: Powder Coat Black - $25
:arrow: Raw Metal Finish - $20

As appreciation for almost 10 years worth of information, help, advice and parts, i will be donating $5 from each plate sold to the hosting / running of REDLINEGTI.com (so if one of the mods could PM the payment details, that would be good).

Just fit the blanking plate up on my car, had to clean up a bit of powder coat in the bolt holes with a rat tail file, but other than that great product! Inlet manifold looks much better without the csv hanging off the back of it doing nothing :lol:

Cheers mate!

Do you have a thread or sticky that shows steps to the how-to of the modifications that need to be done in order to make this work ? If I may ask you.

Not that sending my parts to Australia from Canada and back would be cheap but... you know. LOL.

Doesn't blocking that off make the car idle like crap on cold start??

No. What it does its stops the cold start (or auto choke) from allowing the engine to rev up on a cold start and drop the revs back to normal once the engine has reached operating temperature.
Once the CSV has been blocked off, you ten set the idle to its normal warm start revs and the car will start and idle at that rpm whether warm or cold.

UPDATE:

I have just finished fitting the completed conversion kit to my GTi. The completed conversion kit consists of the following parts;
:arrow: CSV Blanking Plate
:arrow: Modified Thermostat Housing
:arrow: Modified Throttle Body
:arrow: Modified Upper Vacuum Pipe

From my own experieces with the completed conversion, it works flawlessly. I have had no issues whatsover with vacuum leaks, coolant leaks or idling issues. The car starts and idles very nicely whether on a cold or warm start and drives perfectley normal.
I did however notice that not all G13B thermostat housings use the same size water temperature sensor - some use a smaller diameter sensor than others. Im not sure why this is ?
You may also notice that the Cultus GTi upper vacuum pipe is slightly different due to different mounting points on the inatke manifold.

To those members who have purchased one of my CSV Blanking Plates, could you please post up a review of the item. Its important to get reviews of the item so that people can see what others think of the part and their individual opinions of the parts quality, fitment, functionality etc. Constructive critisism is an important factor in product development.
Thanks :D

For anyone that has bought a CSV Blanking Plate, could you post up some reviews or your thoughts about the part. Ive sold quite alot of these now (without any problems), but i would like to be able to post buyers reviews so that people interested in buying a blanking plate can see what previous buyers thought of them as a whole. Thanks.

Going to try fit my plate today. Though I only have the plate and not the conversion kit, what have other people used to block the coolant and vacuum lines?
