Well as some of you may know I bought TOY12S off Buzza about a month ago,I had been eyeing it up for a while mainly because I wanted the refreshed turbo engine and driveline plus the twin scroll turbo set up and Haltec as useful spares for my own IPRA swift.
But part of the deal with me buying the car was that I had a customer who was looking for a tidy mk3 to use mainly for motorsport events (khanacross) but he wanted a Na car for simplicity and trouble free motoring.
So we came to an agreement that I would buy the car and rip out all the turbo stuff, engine ,box, haltec ect and put it back together as a Na car and sell it to my customer.
Well several weeks worth of work later the cars ready to go to its new owner, its been mod plated in Qld for the seats, cage, suspension and 2 seater, roadworthied, dynoed (105hp @7500 atw)on single 60 mm tb and bored afm with a gtaye supplied rospen chip(very worthwhile chip upgrade).
Removing the Haltec and wiring harness was probably the biggest obstacle in the conversion back to Na with all three looms being replaced(engine, engine bay/under dash and dash looms)this also meant removing the front half of the roll cage in order to remove the dash.
All of the suspension upgrades and brake upgrades have remained on the car along with the rear mounted battery box and of course the minilite wheels and ao48 tyres that gave it such a distinctive look.
Below is a couple of pics of the new Na installation.
I would like to thank Graham from Suziauto, Dan (zubbo) gtaye and Justin for their help in sourcing parts to complete this project and would like to wish Tim many happy days tracking with this car.

Sad to see the car go NA after all the effort that's gone into it but at least both the engine etc and the car are going to be used how they were intended! =D>

Hopefully the new owner will keep us up to date of his progress with the NA car.

Pretty certain I saw Tim E running this at IWMAC's dirt autocross last weekend, did pretty well for a fresh setup.

Now I've gotta get my GTI going I think.
