Morgan park raceway is the venue for ipra qld round 3 of the series this weekend.
Ive given my 1300cc engine a freshen up after the qld raceway round and was hoping to try another turbo combo on it but that just didn't happen in time.Ive got a new engine breathing system installed and a baffled sump but apart from that everything is as previous rounds.
Will keep you updated after the event.

Mixed results this weekend, the weather was extremely cold out at Warwick which made it very difficult to get any rear grip.
on Friday practice I went .5 sec under my pb so everything was looking good
Saturday morning our qual session was at 8.30 in the morning and I really struggled to get any temp in the rear tyres so started race 1 in eighth position ,passed a couple of cars and one got a 30 sec penalty for ignoring the black flag so ended up 5th.
race 2 was early on sunday morning ,very cold again and tyres didnt come good till lap 4,I had a good scrap with a rx7 but he was blocking pretty hard and I tried a desperate move around the outside of turn 1 and slid off the track, finishing seventh.
race 3 was going ok till about half distance when the car started overheating, turning the boost down in order to finish meant that i dropped back through the field, suspect blown head gasket ,most likely caused by running hi boost all the way through race 1 and 2 with the cold air.
Happy to have dropped my pb (in the end by .8sec) but all the front runners were doing quicker lap times too, so have to come up with a plan to get a bit more out of it for the next round at lakeside.
Ended up 2nd in class to the rx7 by one point over the weekend and currently sitting 3rd outright(over 2 litre) in the championship after 3 rounds.

Nice work Dave, pity about the mechanical issues, but hopefully an easy fix for you.

Well done Dave - sorry about the head gasket but looking forward to hearing more about the plans for Lakeside.

Cheers Adrian

The rx3 has a machined down 12a engine which puts it in the under 2 litre class, initially he had a few tune issues with it but now its very ,very quick and at this Morgan park round blew away the old under 2 litre record by a big margin.

Maybe NSW should worry about this, instead of U2L turbos and ABS, TC and all the other s**t they want to ruin the class with.

The rx3 is definitely a outright contender for the under2 litre class win at the nationals.

Lakeside is on this weekend and Saturday we have qualifying and 2 races and Sunday 2 races, I am going to run conservative amounts of boost on Saturday(well that's the plan)and turn it up on Sunday.I guess either day should be pretty good ,we have 26 cars on the grid for improved production so it should be pretty entertaining.
