The Motorsport section was created after user feedback, and the resulting poll:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=37536

The idea is that this section be used for all sanctioned motorsport events, including circuit, drags, rally, time attack, hill climbing etc.

This section can also be used for discussion about race car preparation, ie. preparation/configuration that may not be legal on the street.

This section, as with all other sections of RedlineGTi is not to be used to discuss any form of illegal racing.

If there are any existing threads you believe should be moved to this section, please PM a moderator a link to the thread and it will be moved :).

Thanks to everyone that provided feedback and voted for the creation of this section. I hope that it will benefit everyone and encourage more Suzuki owners to compete in organised Motorsport events.

Wow I think this started following a suggestion I made in a post a while back. This is the first potentially good idea I have had in about 40 years so I hope all the motorsport competitors get into the habit of making regular contributions and just maybe we can encourage a few more Redline members to join a car club. I have 3 CAMS sanctioned autocrosses in 3 weekends coming up shortly. If I have a competitive run I will post here. If things go badly I may just prefer to keep it to myself.........

Would you care to expand on that?

Just looked at the pics. Not too pretty. The run off area in the background of the pic of the car turning in did not look overly generous.

Mainly superficial. Radiator support needs to be replaced. Where I ran off was well and truly no where near the other photo.

I'll post another pic in that thread. Lets keep the discussion in there!

Hi Redliners,

I'm really new to this site and motoring scene in general as I purchased a new Suzuki Swift Sport 2012 back in April. What advice would you suggest for a newbie wanting to prepare themselves and their cars for a track day. I'm thinking I would be interested in sprints. More for fun than anything too serious.

Cheers Paul
