With little success in the past 12 months for a decent cruise in Victoria, surely its time for a meet!

Chucking the feelers out there EOI for Victorian members (or anyone who wants to jump borders), Saturday 10th October.

With any interest i am happy to organize it, or a team effort in conjunction with other active members.

I will put it out to social media GTi related pages as well to try and get more GTi's meeting.
Weather should be clearing in October so hopefully we can have a good day.

Interstater's that want to come down/across i can happily accommodate.

I have a few great routes in mind,

We can meet and cruise, or make it a little more interesting (ref tough man comp a few years ago  )
With some form of goal orientated objectives, ie. a poker run or something of that nature.

In the coming months i would like to organize a Winton track day, if we have a good turn out to this one; then we can chat about the possibilities of this Happening.

As stated. this is an expression of interest at this stage

Interest so far:
Psigti01
Joshscanon

Day cruise 1

Start meet in Belgrave
Through localised twisties and rural townships to stop in Healesville, Maroondah Dam
Hwy back to Lilydale, then to Monbulk back to Belgrave.
124km round trip with stops would more then likely be a 4-5 hour cruise

Option 2

a larger day trip, Rowville to Phillip Island/Inverloch

The Ultimate – (thanks to Simon)

Lilydale to Swifts Creek,
Saturday morning Depart for an overnight destination.

Fair drive, but the reward is amazing, for anyone who has visited the Alpine area you will know what i'm talking about, off “Peak” so snow goers are long gone, great roads and you are left alone.
I would contact the local caravan park to book accom, have a blast driving and then off the to local for some antics – also to get photos of Swifts at Swifts creek.

Again, very open to suggestions.
If you live in a part of Vic that you want to show off to the less local; why not suggest a route!

Would it be cool for some other Suzuki makes to attend? Some of the Melbourne MightyBoy peeps are trying to get a cruise happening.

Congratulations on taking the initiative to organise a Cruise =D>

It has been a while since anything has happened and this provides a great opportunity for everyone to put a face to a name AND to get a chance to see everyone else's rides.

I hope that this will be a success and will be well supported. Really need more than 5 or 6 cars to make it worthwhile, so everyone is urged to support psi and make the effort to give it a go.

For what it's worth, the run through the hills could prove to be pretty frustrating due to the number of "Sunday drivers" who tend to use these roads #-o . (OK - it's acknowledged that this will be happening on a Saturday!)
It's no fun to get stuck behind someone who is probably my age  - and when you do get the chance to pass, the rest of the group have to wait for another opportunity to do so.
It makes it a bit difficult to try to keep the group together and the only way is to find a spot to pull over and wait for the others to catch up, thereby negating any advantage gained by the original overtaking...

Two way radios are a good way to keep everyone together (and can provide a bit of fun conversation along the way). They aren't very expensive to buy - check out eBay or GumTree for a bargain. Please be careful with what you say when using them though - no warnings about radar etc as the police don't view this sort of thing very favourably!

Good luck

we still doing this cruise this weekend?
I'm down I'll bring the beast

Route #1 looks good but I'll be cruising it through there, whoever wants to tear up the road and get the fastest time through the bush feel free just pull over somewhere and wait till the pack catches up lol

Route #2 going to San remo would be ok I guess but I'd prob head back after that that road Is terrible after san remo
Save my shocks

#3... Lol

Which one we gonna do?
