Skelta is a supercharged S2000 Honda motor and it used to be made in Toowoomba but is now made at Uki near Murwillumbah and below the foothills of Mt Warning. That would still be a good run across the border. I'm sure I can arrange for Ray Vandersee to show us his shed. The Lockrose Heritage Museum has more Transport related stuff and the owner/builder of the MACbusa cars, Neil Mcleod has said he will accept our group as a special. They also do BBQs and lunches on site. But I digress and it would have to be arranged for specific dates either way. Food for thought.

Definite food for thought Lawrie ;)

I jumped the gun and decided to do a test run this morning.. Woke up sober at stupid o'clock well and truly before the sun and thought it best to make the most of the time I had. . . . Time for a road report

As I expected there were cyclists on the road who had no idea of what it means to "keep left" making it difficult to get out and around on some sections but not entirely . . . There are road works on the way.. One red light stop on Mt.Nebo.. One red light stop on Mt.Glorious.. One red light stop just after the community at Somerset.. Fortunately these may disappear in the next 5 weeks before the cruise.. I expect the local councils are rushing before the wet season
One red light stop I did expect on the way up to MaryCairncross Park has been removed which has given the road a much better flow.. Happy days there..
No slow Hyundai's was a total bonus.. Although I did see a Ford Focus that had misjudged one corner on the way up Mt.Nebo and ended up with only its nose showing at roadside level.. The rest of it was hidden by the steep embankment and shrubbery.. Dont let this be you on the day.. Nebo/Glorious is not forgiving, if you go off the road you're getting towed home
The rest of the course is in good condition with a few wheelscrape moments but nothing to cry over . . . Looks like it will turn out to be another great drive

I've invited a mate in a very nice 76' galant with some tasty mods. Great guy, responsible,
and should come, if the old girl doesn't play up.

Sorry to say but I'm out :(
Missus is going in for an operation next week leaving me to look after her, the kids and all the jobs around the house. It's going to kill me 8-[

Ok looks like I will be coming for the cruise.
I just moved down from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane so its been a bit hectic but all good now.

There may be another new cappo owner coming that has a silver cappo and Japtaxi with his red cappo.
Just waiting for them to confirm.
