And here's a few timing sheets of those that used transponders. Sorry I didn't get all of group 1's sheets, only the second one.

Note, group 1 consisted of mainly racecars and all drivers had experience with trackdays/sprints. Group 2 was for sprint virgins in their street cars. 8-[ (There were more cars on track but not all had timing gear attached)

We had 50 cars turn up counting spectators about 40 did the racing events =D> =D> =D>

Most did the short course but 15 to 20 did not want to risk breaking before heading on the Main track and did not do the short course in the morning.

50 mostly Suzuki vehicles is a massive turn out compared to recent years and shows they are still around well done to everyone who put the effort in to turn up and make the event what it was. =D>

Short Course Winners

1. Dmw Dave
2. Zuboo Dave beat me by 3 tenths
3. StinkyWizzleteats
4. Zub03 starlet

Show Shine

1. The yellow New Swift on air bags
Image

2. The Red Suzuki Swift GTi with 4000km on the clock

Image

Sprints

1. Harry in the Zub02 Starlet - 59.30

2. Pcp N/a gti - 101.60

Best breakage
Was the Black Gti with the gearbox. Yep i did give him a trophy for his efforts.

I would like to thank everyone who helped during the day to make the event run as smooth as possible.

So a big thanks again goes out to everyone involved who helped for a smooth running event with out your help it would have fallen in a heap. People were smart enough to come up and ask if help was needed which made a difference in turning up to an event and being involved for the greater good of the event. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Thanks to everyone involved in organizing and making the day so awesome! It was good to see some high Hp hatches giving it hell in the khana and around the track.
Thanks to Lawry for putting up with us for a few days, as Tom said sorry about the hangover.
It was good to put faces to names finally, hopefully this because an annual event so I have something to work towards lol

Thanks for an awesome day.
It takes a lot of work to put one of these together and I appreciate the effort that went into it.
Keen to see the rest of the group 1 timing sheets if they turn up too!

Just had a look at some of the pics.
Looks and sounds like you all had a great day. Well done to all who organised and made it happen for you all. I will be keeping an eye out for this again in future. I hope there is another one that I will be able to attend.

Although I never had a car there or anything. Fantastic event Dan and ran very smoothly. Disappointing you didn't get to run your car much. Was fantastic to be able to catch up with all the guys I have known for a while but don't see often.

I got some good footage with my go pro thanks to Harry (ZUB02) for letting me put it in his car. I've watched the footage and still don't understand how you didn't hear your exhaust fall off. Lol

one of the funniest things ive ever seen was at a jamboree once harry pulls up opens his door to get out and the door is so flimsy from lack of reinforcing material that it virtually flops to the ground , i guess its just another weight saving thing for him to lose a non essential piece of the car like an exhaust system ..

Let me start by saying WOW WHAT A WEEKEND !!!

Made the trek up from Sydney with the other "Mexicans" and enjoyed the whole time just arrived home after some car troubles with one of the other guys and even though I'm feeling haggard as hell I would do it all again

Big thanks to lawry for having us grubs there he was the best host anyone could ask for (even funnier after a bottle of scotch to himself ;) )

Thanks to dan and Dave and everyone involved in organising the event it was well worth the thousands of kilometres

And can happily say that my Gti drove all the way there and cruised on Saturday , happy laps on Sunday and made the full journey back home with out skipping a beat

Although the lifters are screaming for a service now hahaha

Once again thanks every one for being the friendliest bunch of guys and girls to us out of state guys

Bring on a 2014 event ;)

Cheers ,
DEAN

Winning's winning  and c'mon those were my old doors. My new ones have at least 5% more reinforcing [-o<

I was also racing on a screwed front left wheel bearing. Ill be in probably come round this week to see you guys.

Thanks Zuboo and all involved for putting such a good event on, it was good to finally put a face to a name! Also thanks Lawry for putting up with us and being an awesome host and helping me out with a 5th gear and some oil to help me get going again!

The night before we left for QLD I stripped 3rd gear so we pulled an all nighter and fixed it and got it on the trailer, we decided to get the cars off the trailer at Tweed and drive the rest of the way where I stripped 5th gear heading for Lawry's house, another all nighter and Lawry helping me out with a gear/ oil to get it going. I showed up late to the cruise as I was trying to fix a boost issue, finally got there and went to an amazing lookout.

On Sunday still trying to fix the boost issue went out in the sprints and got 2 laps in before coming off the track to check it out, turned to boost right down and went to test it in a cruise lap and stripped 3rd gear clean again, think its fair to say it needs a bigger box!

Blew 3 gears over 3 days, travelled 3000kms but I am looking forward to doing it all again!! This should be an annual event!

I also would like to say a big thanks to Zuboo and others who organised this event. I had a really great time.

My little red GTi (yes, the one with the low kilometres!!) ran faultlessly all weekend and now has just shy of 5200km on the clock by the time i got home last night. Needless to say, it will be getting tidied up and be going back into hibernation for a while.

I hope there will be more of these events.

Thanks to everyone who made this weekend happen, it was fantastic! Drove all the way from Adelaide and it was worth every kilometre! 5064km's all up and the gti will be getting a service very soon. It ran faultlessly all week, was getting 600+ k's per tank and after 5000ks needed 300mls of oil. A huge thank you to lawry for the amazing hospitality and driving my mate and I around showing us brisbane. A huge thank you to Dave for rebuilding my gearbox it was 110% all the way home. Bring on 2014!

Seem as though I fell short of having the Honzuki running for Hatch Attack, Thought some of you might like to see this little video of where things are nearly one week on.

http://youtu.be/8_AR67m4dok

The video doesn't do the cars volume justice

Enjoy!
