As per last post that discussions were in but the OP never came back, I expressed interest in a Mount Nebo run. This idea has been canned due to danger issues and the fact it is apparently a cop haven nowadays. I have since organised a route for a MOUNT TAMBOURINE RUN. Attachment: File comment: Route

MEETING PLACE: Springwood McDonalds TIME/DATE: 10:00am, Sunday 18th of July WHAT TO BRING: Your GTi/Baleno/Suzuki, some money for lunch at Tambourine, Sunscreen. We will be meeting at Springwood McDonalds as it is a large carpark but not stupidly big as we don't expect 50+ cars! We will be planning to drive out to Tambourine Mountain, for a nice quiet lunch in Eagle Heights (top of the mountain) and then back to Springwood. I'd just like to make it a fairly nice setting for a good cruise with fellow redliners and introduce everyone to each other Please NO STUPID BEHAVIOUR, I want to do this fairly regularily so Queensland Redliners can get a more active GTi community back up and it would be a bad start to have a crash or even worse, to crash into another redliner! I would LOVE to hear some feedback about this run and any improvements we can make! So far the people who have put their names down are: - Maximum - 1600GTI - 2TNK4U - swift1 - "s14/r33 driver" - "ralliart colt driver" We need to know who else is interested or could put forward some ideas regarding the cruise! Cheers guys, Maximum

It needs to be during the week, late at night, if fri or sat realty late any other time is a waste of time.

Just a bit of advice, on other forums I'm on unofficial 'cruises' are organised by PM's. Just in case you wanna cover your arse/avoid thread lock.

Im a mod its ok on this forum Its never ok to promote speeding or driving like a hoon. But to organise a cruise or meet is fine. The problem with other forums is they assume your up to no good from the start.

and you guys wonder why there are no runs in Qld .. It was good to see someone try and get a cruise together - and hoping that Maximim would get support - but alas again the people start bickering about where it is going because if it doesn't go south they won't go I have organised many cruises over the years in all directions (except west as people always shoot them down) - but after these constant bickering about the runs - well I had hoped that someone could a chance to get such things going again - but it is impossible with this sort of lack of support! Mt Nebo is a good suggestion - but as others have pointed out these days it is hard for a group to take a run without some interference as the past has proved. But if we did go - we could go up to Mt Nebo - down to Samford and then out to Dayboro etc - less hassles out that way Also to get people to come - you hae to really nail down a date time place etc - and then just make it happen! By letting the 'committee' on here decide you will never get anywhere Good Luck Maximum, I hope that you get to organise a brilliant run!!

I stated that nebo is dangerous. People have died and many have crashed there so I am suggesting that is a good enough reason not to go and it is also a police haven. Offering other suggestions is a part of the wonderful invention of freedom of speech. Maximum, Back on topic In a few weeks I will be keen on a cruise anywhere other than nebo. I have friends that will be interested too. Cheers

We need an organised consensus on where everyone is keen to go. Mt Nebo was my suggestion but a few of you have said Glow Worms. Could I get general numbers on who wants what? Just say where you want to go and I can organise a route from there. I would like opinions on meeting places as well if possible. I reckon Springwood Ikea or Maccas or if it's closer for everyone else, Milton maccas. Let's get this rolling guys! I wanna see some Queensland redliners!
