Hi all from NSW Australia
have never owned a suzuki before but have heavily modded a corolla. :D
took a sx4 for a test drive and tomorrow will be placing an order if all goes well.
I am looking at the sunburnt copper Awd s with adventure pack and alot of accessories plus want to put racing stripes and black rims on as well.
I do not see many around and wondering how the auto is etc. i have done some research and will do more before going into the dealer tomorrow. so if a a sx4 will soon be in the family
any advice or tips would be great thanks

Hi Rocky, Cool stuff. I have had an SX4 awd s manual in copper now for just over a year and love it. done 30,000k's and not had any issues. Done a little off roading which went well too.

Have had 3 suzuki's now (swift s, swift sport, and now sx4 s awd) and not had problems with any.

Like a couple of the guys have said, the J series motor's are not exactly 'exciting' but for pottering around for work they are good and fuel efficient. I have also done a bit of towing with my sx4 (just dump runs etc) and it's done well with that too. the awd has got me out of a few sticky spots at the dump (mud + trailer = fail)

Very happy with it. Would recommend you get an ipod adapter (clarion ceNET thingo) for the stereo if you can.

Chris.

thanks warped _foobie there is not many of the copper around.
Have you added anything else to your sx4
i picked the sx4 up a week ago and she is great.
i tried to pick up ipod interface from dealer but no longer available
so have a connector instead for the ipod. i tried to get the chrome skid plates but again suzuki does not make them as well as the mudflaps again not made for the awd sx4 so i had to source the mudflaps from america as well as the b pillar carbon fiber trim
here is a pic of my sx4 Image

Hi rocky, looks good. Yeah I have added mats, towbar, clarion cenet adapter iPod thingo, dash carpet and a few other factory things. Nothing really aftermarket.

If you go to autobarn and order a clarion CE net ea1251 (can't remember the exact number, but its the same one as the rs415/416 swift, search these forums swift technical) get tmofel, order one in and install your self... Easy...

Chris
