Hey all,
Got the missus car back on friday. I am very impressed with it all. Its a n/a g16a with a gti twincam head. Big cams and craploads of work done on the porting of the head plus more.
Its a bit of a pig under 3500 rpm but fun all the way to 7,200rpm. Its still running in for now but produced 126hp atw. Once its run in rpm range will be opened to 8,500 which may increase the hp a little bit more. Will be dynotuning it in 2 weeks expecting approx 140-145hp atw. I will provide a dyno readout once it is all tuned.
If anyone know a bit about aftermarket engine mounts let me know. I cant see the originals lasting long.

Once it is all run in there will be a complete cleanup of the engine bay. And getting rid of the red intake pipe. I have a ceramic coated rocker cover to add which will include the timing cover.

Not really a fan of the look of the car...
But I am definately a fan of the motor combo!! What did you do regarding extractor length? What are you running for Engine management? What gear box are you running? What cams are you running? And lastly have you done any work to the bottom end?
Cheers pauly

lol everone has their own opinion about looks. The kit was put on there in our early days (6 yrs ago) so it stayed on there.
I am no motor head i paid a professional to do it all.
Extractors are genie but they have been customised with a matchported header collector and before the bend has been modified too.
Tighe cams code is 935c on site below under suzuki gti dohc cams
http://www.tighecams.com.au/cars.htm
Using a link lem g3 ecu
bottom end lightened and balanced
Stock gearbox
But most of the hp comes from the porting of the twincam head suited for the cams. VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But worth every dollar.
I am so grateful of the effort that my most recent engine builder has put in. It has been a very stressing 18 months of saving and stressing due to the first build costing me almost $10,000 and being a pile of crap (diff engine builder by the way). My engine builder doesnt build engines anymore he has his own business running a custom exhaust shop. But he saw my wifes crook little engine and just had to help us.
I know that suz137 on this forum has felt our pain in the effort of trying to get this vehicle to what it is now.

Very nice and inspirational.

From the moment I had my first Baleno in 1995 I wanted to do that.
I even took the car to Crydon Autosports to inquire about the job but soon learnt that the GTX Baleno was coming out.... I got one of them instead and the rest is history.

I still want to do it. =P~

Hmmm...

Can you tell me the part number of the timing belt you use?

Also, what do you plan to do in regard to the timing belt cover?
As the G16B has a taller block the timing belt cover intended for a G13B will not fit, or so I am led to believe.

As the G13B timing belt cover is a two piece unit I figured it would be possible albeit not ideal or pretty to chop an original G16B timing belt cover for the bottom half and use the G13B top half for the top half.

Hey itsdamo
I think the timing belt is off a d16a honda. Code on the belt is 76125 x 26
For the timing cover god knows my engine builder is going to fabricate one for me. :D

??Not sure why this question was asked?? I am not a genius with motors. But why wouldnt the ecu be necessary. I am pretty sure if you put an extra cam on the block the stock ecu would be obsolete.
Plus the cams are huge and i need something to tune them with.
Hope this answers your query?????????? If not I dont understand where you are coming from.
Thanks
