Looks exciting Dave.

I'm impatiently runnig my car in and can't wait to start getting a little more power.

The reason I am so concerned about the gearbox is that my previous car (Mini Cooper S JCW) blew a bearbox when I fitted the factory approved JCW kit which only increased boost 2pounds and power about 20hp/10Nm, I lost third gear and the $10,000 new gearbox (inc. install at BMW dealer) which was (luckily) covered under warranty made me nervous, at the end of the warranty I sold the car and bought a few others until now I have the Swift. The Mini box was rated at 210Nm and the engine (without the $12,000 JCW kit) was putting out 210Nm so that's why the box went.

But then a mate of mine who hates german cars bought a 350Z and put a twin turbo kit on it without changing anything else, no mods to box or diff and has been driving the thing very hard for at least 6months without drama.

I want the power but without the headaches that bit me with the Mini,

Just doing abit of research, that's all,

Really want this kit though, would sound nuts. Engine sounds mean alot to me when driving a car and the Swift has a nice note, needs a little louder exhaust and induction noise.

Damian.

But I'm kinda in the middle of buying my first house and I'll be strapped for cash for the next 20 years or so. Maybe then.

(Chief Wiggum Voice) Nice work, DMWDave!

Spend any time around German machinary and you'll quickly learn to hate it! Overpriced and nowhere near as well-engineered and reliable as they would have you believe.

Yay for emanage, I'm assuming it took less time to get yours in and running than it took for 101 to get the one in my swift firing, 6 weeks off the road but everyday worth it, gotta congratulate those boys on a job well done in my case. Its nice to see the front bar allows for suitable airflow for the inter cooler as well.

Keep up the excellent work dave

very stock-looking engine bay... haha, no trouble from the cops...

how much did this cost you? (ball park figure will do)
does the extra power out-run the chassis?

very stock looking and very professional. no chopping here or there by the look of it.

this looks like a quality job dave! Would love to know the ball park figure for a kit like this. e-manage alone would be quite dear tho wouldn't it?

Itching for more info! I stepped down from a fairly modified 2000 WRX (about $30k worth of mods) to a stock 2005 Swift and the lack of power and handling is killing me! I've contacted Whiteline and they don't have any plans of making any suspension products for the 2005 Swift in the near future yet. Can't spend my money on suspension, may as well spend it on performance first!

Ohh do they? Cool, sounds like a decent combo. I'm assuming the Koni shocks are the yellow adjustables? And I'm hoping the King springs aren't too low, I hate it when shocks run out of travel.

Anyone happen to have specs on the springs? Ie. ride height and spring rate?
