Hoping that heading got your attention...it got the attention of two blondes I was talking to the other night...but that's another story...

Anyway, it's time for a new thread about my new headunit, as mentioned in the thread about my old, now-retired Polaris.

4 years ago I paid $1200 for the 6.5" Polaris. This month I paid $335 for the new 8" SMT Swift Touchscreen Headunit. What a difference 4 years makes! I paid a quater of the price, yet got a larger screen with twice the resolution, custom hardware integration (built for the Swift dash), 3D menus, Picture in picture, plug and play electrics. This is one of those cases where I love the way technology has headed!

Took a few new photos today, so here goes...

Hari,

Indeed, your magnificent eight inches have made my eyes water most wetly...

But I must ask; With all this new-fangled tomfoolery, how have you got enough time left to actually drive the thing? :)

I cant even mange to program my head unit's (is this what they call a wireless these days... bloody kids?) clock. #-o

Might have to start a thread meself...

I'm just waiting for someone to notice Southport Police Station in my reverse camera picture!

Anyway, I don't drive my car too often. Have a few other vehicles we use more often, some with 4 wheels, some with 2...

But I have a couple of other additions soon to be added...just researching them now!

I could of sworn a din was about 7, but I'm not arguing in your measuring abilities

Yes, correct. It is far older than thou.

I had the same one in high school! I think it is still in my mum and dad's shed... please note conversion table and also (*gasp*) digital clock on right!
