Q. |
How do I join redlinegti.com? |
|
A. |
Although redlinegti.com may appear to be a club it is actually more a car community and isn't governed by the strict formalities like the clubs you may already be a part of. We don't charge for membership, we don't have requirements for turning up to cruises. All we ask is that if you want to get involved jump into the forum and get to know people.
You will find a wealth of knowledge in our member base and it is constantly growing in size. If you want to show others how much you enjoy the site think about buying a redlinegti.com decal/sticker for your car. |

ICQ UIN:
After a few people have added their information to the thread the Member Directory will be updated. This is a manual process and it will not update straight away. |

Q. |
How do I get my hands on a redlinegti.com sticker/decal for my car? |
|
A. |
There are 2 ways to get hold of a redlinegti.com sticker. The first is to download an order form from the site and send it off to the address listed at the top of the form. The form can be found .
The second method is 'roll your own'. If you know a sign writer or someone with vinyl cutting facilities you can download the EPS file from the site and any sign writer will know what to do with it. The stickers we sell are 560mm in length but you are free to resize the stickers you create, all we ask is that the entire sticker design is kept intact (so it remains identifiable). To download the EPS file, point your browser to address. |

Q. |
How do I get my car added to the cars section? |
|
A. |
The car section is used to showcase modified Swifts and GTi's from around the world. To be added to the cars section you will need a few things. you will need to be a forum member and you _must_ own the car you are posting.
Send 4 hi-resolution photos to along with a profile with text formatted similar to those in the cars section (the closer this is to the site layout the easier it is to upload and the quicker your car will make it in). In your email make sure you have 'Car Profile' or something similar in the subject. Also make sure you note in the email if your car is Australian or International. |

Q. |
Tell me a bit about the site and its history? |
|
A. |
The redlinegti.com site was originally created to be an online presence for a Swift GTi community started by 3 people in Canberra Australia (Kurt, Simon and Sam). After a few months of the site being live the word spread to wider states with a serious amount of interest (it seemed we had found a niche). With the addition of a forum the site started to grow at an extremely rapid rate, to the point where the Canberra community looked tiny in comparison. The original Canberra community over time broke down slowly but because of the massive interest in the site I decided to keep the original idea behind our Canberra community running online as redlinegti.com.
With members emailing at an astonishing rate I was contacted by Suzitech in Sydney asking if I was interested in doing a joint Sydney cruise with them. The first Suzitech cruise was born and the amount of community participation on the day was overwhelming.
Over time the site has expanded into other states and has drifted away from the commercial association with Suzitech to become completely community focused. The site and community now consists of a huge member base of loyal contributors from across Australia and all around the world. Redlinegti.com has also expanded focus to include other models of Suzuki such as the Baleno, Ignis, Liana and soon the 2005 Swift.
The redlinegti.com of today is an incredibly different picture to the original group and is constantly adapting to the needs of the community and what they want to see develop.
Nearly everything on the site is organised by members for other members so everyone can benefit from people in the community with the same passion for the GTi and Suzuki’s.
On behalf of the community I hope redlinegti.com supplies you with everything you need to know and a whole lot more. We plan to be around to support Suzuki owners well into the future.
Because no where else seems appropriate I would like to thank the following people that I remember shivering in cold car parks with in the very early days. Without your interest and support redlinegti.com would never have evolved out of the original RedlineGTi into what it is today. Kurt (MR GT EYE), Simon (Saje), Daniel (XDZ), Vinh (BNV10S), Lisa, Marcheck, Ryan (Supafly Swifty GTi), Bryce (SupaflySwift) and Tim (Tekkaman TX3). |
